Danny Lasoski peaked high and low, looking for a lane around Kraig Kinser Friday night during the World of Outlaws Sprint Series preliminary feature at Dodge City Raceway Park. Lasoski would get a run on the bottom, but Kinser would carry his momentum off the top. Finally, with nine laps to go, Lasoski got a run on Kinser in Turns 3 and 4. Kinser held the lead at the flagstand but Lasoski swept in front in Turns 1 and 2 before a caution waved.
Lasoski would go on to lead the final eight laps around the high-banked 3/8-mile oval in the Bass Pro Shops Eagle to win his fourth preliminary feature of the season to go with his main event win at Cottage Grove Speedway.
Kraig Kinser held on to finish second in the Remy Maxim as 2006 Outlaw Daryn Pittman posted another strong run in the Titan Garages & Carports Maxim to finish third. Steve Kinser raced from eighth to fourth in the Quaker State Maxim and is the final car locked into the Stacker 2 Dash that will set the field for the main event Saturday night.
Following the event at Dodge City Raceway Park, the World of Outlaws Sprint Series returns Tuesday to Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix to complete the Cactus Classic, which was postponed by rain in March with Craig Dollansky, Danny Lasoski, Steve Kinser and Shane Stewart locked into the Stacker 2 Dash. Following the Cactus Classic, Outlaws close out the year with a two-day show Oct. 14-15 at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., and a two-day show Oct. 21-22 at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
